(Tallahassee, Fla) - After being arrested a week ago at Miami International Airport allegedly trying to flee the country, Donna Adelson has been extradited to Tallahassee.
The accused 73-year-old Miami Beach grandmother is the fifth defendant in the murder-for-hire plot to kill FSU law professor Dan Markel over a custody dispute with her daughter, Wendi.
Leon County deputies booked Adelson into the jail at about 1:30 a.m. then she appeared in Leon County court today where the judge ordered her held without bond.
She is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and solicitation to commit murder.
