Collier County, FL - Deputies in Southwest Florida arrested a 20-year-old convicted felon following a high-speed chase that ultimately uncovered a cache of illegal drugs, stolen firearms, and a significant amount of cash.
Investigators say the chase began when deputies attempted to pull over Jadyn Loman for a stop sign violation at the intersection of 20th Place Southwest and 41st Street Southwest.
Initially, Loman complied by slowing down, before quickly accelerating to speeds exceeding 100 mph in a residential area.
The pursuit came to a halt at the intersection of Green Boulevard and Collier Boulevard when Loman collided with an object.
Undeterred, the 20-year-old fled on foot, evading deputies temporarily.
However, his escape was short-lived, as he was apprehended by a Collier County Sheriff's Office K9 unit while hiding beneath a nearby residence.
Deputies conducted a search of Loman's vehicle due to the potent odor of marijuana emanating from it.
Inside Loman's vehicle, deputies discovered:
- 15.4 grams of methamphetamine
- 26 grams of cocaine
- 310 grams of marijuana
- 83 marijuana vape cartridges
- Two firearms
- Approximately $30,000 in cash
During their search, deputies also uncovered fentanyl pills masquerading as oxycodone 30 mg, marked with the imprints "M" and "30".
Additionally, police say one of the recovered firearms had been reported stolen in South Carolina.
Loman was arrested on nearly a dozen felony charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, intent to sell cocaine, possession of fentanyl, and illegal firearm possession.
At the time of his arrest, Loman was out on bond while facing charges in Lee County.
