South Floridians speaking up and out on The American Library Association's banned books week. Mitchell Kaplan-owner of Books and Books-says it's more important now than ever in Florida--- which he calls ground zero for the weaponization of books. Florida law requires schools to be more transparent and give parents a chance to have input on selecting library books. It also creates a process for school districts to ban books through a public hearing and a vote by the school board. Books that have recently been taken off Florida shelves include "Forever" by Judy Blume and "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley.
