More than two-thousand Jewish teens from across the globe are in South Florida this week for the 2023 JCC Maccabi Games kicking off tonight in Ft. Lauderdale. JCC Spokeswoman Tina Tucci says it's similar to the Olympics with athletes from sixty-four different delegations including the Ukraine, South Africa and Argentina competing against each other in several sports. The teens are being housed by host volunteer families in the community. The events are being held at JCC's and local parks and ice rinks in South Florida. The games are free. Anyone who wants to attend must be credentialed for security purposes.
