Orlando, FL - A Florida realtor has filed a lawsuit against an Orlando valet service after her $300,000 car was stolen from the ICON Park parking garage in May.
Cora Johnson, a Florida realtor and participant in the upcoming reality TV show "Ladies of Orange County," filed a lawsuit against "Right Away Valet and Parking Services" on Thursday.
The legal recourse comes after Johnson's 2022 Bentley Bentayga, valued at around $300,000, was stolen from the ICON Park parking garage in May.
According to court records, Johnson parked her luxury car with the valet service at 8351 International Drive near ICON Park before heading to dinner with a friend.
Upon her return to the parking garage nearly two hours later, she discovered her vehicle was missing.
Johnson says the valet attendant informed her that the car had been taken, but he had not notified the police about the theft.
The valet attendant claimed that the lockbox containing her car keys had been pried open.
Inside Johnson's vehicle was approximately $23,100 worth of personal belongings, including a MacBook, a Louis Vuitton suitcase and duffel bag, a Chanel purse, Versace slippers, and a Gucci belt.
The lawsuit alleges that "Right Away Valet and Parking Services" failed to properly safeguard the lockbox, leading to the theft of Johnson's vehicle.
Johnson is seeking damages, including the monetary value or replacement of her stolen car and its contents, as well as compensation for the emotional distress caused by the loss.
