Former Cheerleading Coach Pleads Guilty to Child Sexual Exploitation

Clermont, FL - A former cheerleading coach who was arrested last year on charges of sexually abusing children at his gym entered a guilty plea in federal court on Tuesday.

The guilty plea pertains to count two of Vigiland D'Haiti indictment, which accuses him of coercing a minor victim to create sexually explicit content, in violation of U.S.C. § 2251(a) and (e) concerning the sexual exploitation of children.

The court accepted the plea as part of a plea agreement reached between the parties.

D'Haiti, 41, the former co-owner of the now-closed Rush Allstars cheerleading gym in Clermont, was arrested at his residence by Winter Garden police in March of 2022 on multiple warrants for lewd and lascivious molestation involving victims aged 12 to 15 years old.

During the investigation, authorities discovered explicit photos and videos of D'Haiti engaging in abusive acts with children known to him through the gym.

The intention was to charge D'Haiti in a federal indictment with counts of possessing and producing child sexual abuse material, as well as enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity.

According to the most recent court document, D'Haiti's guilty plea to the second count was accepted by the court, resulting in an adjudication of guilt, and a presentence investigation report was ordered.

D'Haiti is scheduled to appear in court again on October 10th for sentencing.

Pending sentencing, D'Haiti will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals.
