Tour Begins of Parkland Massacre Site

Today will likely be an emotional day for many impacted by the Parkland school shooting. The Broward State Attorney will allow survivors and the families of victims to tour the 12-hundred building at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. That's where Nikolas Cruz went on his deadly rampage five years ago. Prosecutors and victims advocates will be available to accompany those who wish to view the crime scene before it's demolished.

Max Schacter, whose Alex was killed by Cruz, tweeted "I’m not sure I have the strength to walk into Alex’s english class with his blood is all over the floor but I definitely want to be there when the building comes down." Debra Hixon's husband, Chris, was also one of the seventeen lives taken in the shooting, and she says she wavered before deciding to step inside the building. She plans to walk through next Wednesday.
