There are several events going on this weekend to celebrate America's Birthday:
Mega Bash at Roger Dean Stadium combines baseball and the Fourth of July. This event will feature baseball games on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Both games will start at 6 p.m. with fireworks following Monday's game. The Mega Bash also incorporates the Block Party at Abacoa Amphitheater, which starts at 3 p.m. on Tuesday and will feature a golf cart parade and contest in which the entrants are judged on the patriotic decorations of their carts. There will be barbecue, music by The Spazmatics, a kids zone, a DJ, food and drink specials and more. The fireworks start at 9 p.m.
The Freedom 4-Miler at Constitution Park in Tequesta on Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. All proceeds from the run go directly towards 'Believe With Me’s' families of fallen soldiers. Participants' generosity goes towards buying Christmas gifts for more than 2,500 children of fallen soldiers and service members. In this race, each mile is named after a local fallen hero and all along the way there are props, signs, snacks and music to let the racers get to know more about the soldier being honored for that mile.
