Man Arrested After Waving 'Florida Man' Beer at Passing Vehicles

Seminole, FL - A man was arrested last week for disorderly conduct after creating a disturbance by yelling at passing vehicles while holding an open can of 'Florida Man' beer.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, 39-year-old transient Seth Frederick Thomas was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Police state that Thomas, who was under the influence of alcohol and drinking a can of 'Florida Man' beer, caused a public disturbance in Seminole, a city within Pinellas County.

Thomas' arrest affidavit stated that "while intoxicated and consuming 'Florida Man' beer, the defendant yelled at passing traffic while walking in the roadway."

The sheriff's office reported that Thomas was obstructing vehicles and refused to comply with instructions to stop.

Florida Man Double IPA is a beer produced by Cigar City Brewing, located about 24 miles east of Seminole in Tampa.

The beer has an alcohol content of 8.5% by volume, according to the Cigar City Brewery website.

Thomas was booked into the Pinellas County Jail and released on Wednesday night after posting $100 bail.
