The very equestrian-friendly Palm Beach County municipality is on the Top 10 in a list of the best places to live for families.
The publication Fortune WELL, a lifestyle magazine, is highlighting the best place to live in each of the 50 states and has Wellington at ranked 8th nationwide.
Fortune WELL calls Wellington a "horse-lover's paradise," noting annual events like the Winter Equestrian Festival and the Palm Beach Polo Season.
Town leaders are spreading the word.
To come up with the list, more than 200,000 unique data points across five categories were considered. Those are education, aging resources, general wellness, financial health and livability.
The quality of local public schools were credited in the write-up.
The publication started out by looking at nearly 1,900 municipalities and then evaluated from there.
Cambridge, Massachusetts is ranked at the top of the list.
