Miami Beach, FL - A woman was taken into custody on Tuesday amid allegations that she trafficked a minor and attempted to flee from a hospital after being transported there by police.
The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Jaleeya Stribling, was apprehended at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Miami Beach.
Police say that an undercover detective responded to an advertisement on an escort website featuring explicit photos of a female.
The advertisement read, "Ask about my two girls available 24/7."
After texting the phone number provided in the ad, the detective agreed to pay $300 for sexual services and arranged to meet at the hotel.
Upon exiting the elevator and heading towards the hotel room, the detective noticed a male accompanied by two females entering the elevator.
Once inside the room, the detective was greeted by a female who discussed the transaction, prompting the detective to signal for her arrest.
Initially claiming to be 19 years old, the female eventually admitted to being 17 years old and told detectives that she traveled from Atlanta to South Florida with the male and females they had seen entering the elevator.
The minor disclosed that the female, identified as Stribling, was responsible for posting the advertisements and arranging the "dates."
Upon their return to the hotel, Stribling and the two individuals accompanying her were detained by the police.
The male, who is 17 years old, claimed to have been in the company of the females without any knowledge of their activities, stating that he was merely "vibing" with them.
The 19-year-old female denied being aware of the minor's involvement in prostitution.
While awaiting interrogation, Stribling began experiencing nausea and informed authorities that she was two months pregnant.
Miami Beach Fire Rescue transported her to Mount Sinai Medical Center.
However, Stribling attempted to evade custody by fleeing toward the hospital's front entrance and was quickly apprehended by authorities.
Stribling was arrested on charges of human trafficking involving a victim under 18, escape, unlawful use of a communication device, and aiding or abetting prostitution.
As of Wednesday, she remained in custody without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
