A West Palm Beach homeowner is warning of a man going door-to-door, claiming to be from Florida Power and Light.
Ruth Holmes tells CBS 12 News that the man was peering through her glass door recently.
"I said to him, can I help you? And he started talking about FPL and started talking about, like something he was doing on behalf of FPL."
When she asked him for his badge, the man told her he was with a contractor for the power company, but couldn't provide ID for that either.
He took off when she said she was calling the cops.
Holmes' neighbors have said they've seen the man as well and FPL says they don't recognize him. They also say they don't knock on doors except in emergencies.
