Two Palm Beach County lawmakers deny claims made by the Trump campaign that Governor Ron DeSantis threatened state legislators to endorse him for president or face a potential veto of their bills.

The claim was made after a PAC for DeSantis released a list of 99 state lawmakers who are endorsing the governor.

Republican State Representative Mike Caruso told the Palm Beach Post that the claim is "preposterous," noting that the last four sessions, the governor has been very generous in appropriations to him totaling $160 million. Caruso calls it "just politics."

Boca Raton State Rep. Peggy Gossett-Seidman, a freshman Republican in the House, says she wouldn't stand for threats to her funding projects and that she did not hear or know of any accusations regarding the governor's veto power.
