Volusia County, FL - A woman's been arrested for credit card theft after charging nearly $5,000 to her stepmother's stolen credit card, which she used for various purchases at Wal-Mart, Sunny’s Wine and Liquor, Hulu, Lavish Nail Spa, Winn-Dixie, E-Cig Source, and Lowes.
Deputies with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office arrested 26-year-old Allison Plucinik on charges of credit card theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, and grand theft.
The arrest was made after a complaint was lodged by her stepmother over unauthorized charges made to her credit cards.
The victim reported to investigators that her credit cards had been stolen from her safe, and charges had been made in DeLand, where Plucinik resides.
During the investigation, Plucinik confessed to her stepmother that she had stolen the credit cards and used them to make various purchases for her newborn child.
Deputies discovered that approximately $5,000 had been charged to one of the cards, including purchases from Wal-Mart, Sunny's Wine and Liquor, Hulu, Lavish Nail Spa, Winn-Dixie, E-Cig Source, and Lowes.
While speaking with several of the businesses found in the list of purchases, deputies discovered that Plucinik had made purchases at the businesses with her boyfriend.
Plucinik was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and released on $13,000 bond.
