Buccaneers Start '23 With Vikings, Home Opener With Bears

TAMPA -- The start of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 2023 season may remind longtime fans of their days in the old NFC Central division in the 20th century.

The defending NFC South champion Bucs will kick off the regular season in Minnesota facing the Vikings September 10th. Their home opener is a week later against the Chicago Bears. Later in the season, the Bucs will host Detroit October 15th and go to Green Bay December 17th.

They'll also host the Philadelphia Eagles in a Monday night game September 25th, Tennessee Titans November 12th, Jacksonville Jaguars December 24th, and all three rivals in the NFC South, the Panthers, Saints and Falcons.

The Bucs will play five teams that won their divisions in 2022.

For the first time since 2012 the Bucs will have a throwback game in their orange uniforms, with the winking pirate logo designed by a Tampa Tribune cartoonist and derisively labeled "Bucco Bruce" by the rival St. Petersburg Times' sports columnist Hubert Mizell. They'll also honor Ronde Barber's induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

All games will air on 98 ROCK and the Buccaneers Radio Network.
