A police department in South Florida is leaving its headquarters because of mold.

The Riviera Beach Police Department has been in the same building since 1978, but a mold problem in the building dates back several years and the new police chief says "enough is enough."

"Based on experts opinion that we could put a band-aid on this building but it's not going to fix the problem longterm."

Chief Michael Coleman tells CBS 12 News that some employees have alrady moved out and he's targeted the building for demolition, meaning everyone will have to be gone within ninety days.

The city will pay $512,000 a year for the next four years to rent some office space while a new police department is built.
