A wild three-county police chase, which apparently began in Miami-Dade County with a report of a carjacking.
The driver in a white Lexus sped along the Turnpike through Broward and into Palm Beach County. He pulled off the highway and forced at gunpoint the driver of a Tesla out of the car.
After law enforcement smashed into the Tesla, the driver tried to make a run for it. He took off his sneakers and jumped in a canal. He made it to the other side of the canal and ran through a neighborhood entering a house.
Another person was in the original Lexus, but tried to flee before the Tesla was carjacked. Both suspects are now in custody.
