Equality Florida members rallying outside the state capitol today against what they call escalating attacks on the LGBTQ-Plus community. Advocate Emily Grey says the Governor and his right-wing allies are building on hateful bills passed last year, like trying to expand the so-called "Don't Say Gay" law. She says Republican lawmakers, who have the supermajority in both chambers, have introduced hate legislation targeting drag shows, treatments for transgender children and diversity and equity programs to promote DeSantis' agenda before he announces his presidential run. That announcement is expected when the legislative session wraps up in May.
