Oklahoma WR Coach Resigns After Uttering "Hurtful" Word

The University of Oklahoma's long-time Wide Receivers coach has resigned with an apology.

In his announcement posted on Twitter Cale Gundy said during a film session last week he noticed a distracted player. He grabbed his iPad and read out loud what was on the screne. He says, "One particular word that I should never - under any circumstance - have uttered was displayed on that screen."

While we don't know what the word was, and Gundy stresses it wasn't his word, he was taking responibility and resigning.

Oklahoma Head Coach Brent Venables accepted the resignation and thanked Gundy for his dedication to the team and for taking accountability for his actions.
