Instead of going into classrooms and holding special events on campuses, this year's Broward High School Voter Registration Drive, which kicks off today, has had to take a new look.
Broward Supervisor of Elections Joe Scott says they're using social media, social studies departments and student government associations to reach students and their parents.
He's set a goal of registering and pre-registering 10,000 teens.
Sixteen-year-old citizens can submit pre-registration forms now, meaning they'll be registered voters the day they turn 18.
