A group of Palm Beach County teachers filed a motion on Wednesday, asking the court for another hearing after their injunction to put a temporary halt to in-person learning was denied.
A virtual hearing was held last week as the teachers made their case to Circuit Court Judge Glenn Kelley.
Throughout the hearing, attorneys for the teachers called witnesses supporting their motion for an emergency injunction to shutter schools, while School District lawyers had staffers testify in opposition. T
he judge ruled this week that elected officials must determine how and when government institutions will reopen and function, not the court system.
Attorney Barry Silver, representing the teachers, has demanded a "recall" for all school board members, except for Dr. Debra Robinson...the only one who did not vote in favor of reopening campuses.
