As civil unrest continues in other parts of the country, there have been calls by some groups in South Florida to change the way law enforcement is done.
Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw says there may be some agencies in other areas that have training issues, but not his.
The sheriff says there were 17,000 arrests made by PBSO deputies last year...
"Less than 3.5 percent use any force at all and half of the 3.5 percent was very minimal amount of force."
Bradshaw says it's important that officers are trained properly, because there's always the chance that they'll have to use some type of force.
"Let's be factual about this...when you arrest people, the majority of the time they don't just throw up their hands in the air and jump in the back of the car. You have to physically take them into custody."
