Woman Rescues Koala From Australian Wildfire

An Australian woman is being praised for rescuing a koala bear from a brush fire.

The koala can be seen in a burning, smoke-filled forest in Long Flat, Australia in New South Wales.

In the video, the woman wraps the burned koala in her shirt and walks it to safety. She then uses a bottle of watter to try and cool off the bear that can be heard wailing. Blood stains on the woman's shirt show that the bear was injured, but the injuries appear to be minor.

The woman said she planned to take he bear to a nearby wildlife center.
