On a day filled with impeachment palooza and general media hysteria, I figured a light-hearted, literally happy story would be nice. An Ohio State University study revealed something cool. For all the negativity in our society, nothing’s more prevalent than happy expressions. According to the findings, there are 35 universally recognized facial expressions, 17 are variations of happiness and the other 18 are split between neutral and negative.
Of all the expressions we’re humanly capable of naturally conveying, happiness is the most common. Researchers were able to determine, that we’re literally more capable of expressing happiness than any other physical emotion. That’s pretty cool. So today, in the midst of impeachment palooza, pass along some happiness. We’re literally designed to.
