A Michigan woman is reeling after one of Samsung's satellite devices landed on her rural property.
Nancy Mumby-Welker, and her husband, were at their Gratiot County home over the weekend when they heard a loud crash outside. The two discovered that a possible satellite had fallen out of the sky and came down on their property. It turns out that the supposed satellite was actually Samsung's "Space Selfie" device, a machine launched into space in order to capture pictures with "planet earth as the backdrop."
The company said they had "planned" for the device, which launched from South Dakota, to fall in rural Michigan and there were no injuries involved. Mumby-Welker said the device was collected and she learned that it was part of a promotional campaign with actress and model Cara Delevingne.
