The Politicized Death Of U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings

Elijah Cummings passing yesterday instantly turned into the very worst of news media in action. I’m not surprised by what happened. My expectations couldn’t be lower for a news media that has no interest in discovering the truth behind the entire Trump-Russia collusion hoax. That doesn’t want to hold those responsible for it accountable. When you have a news media that doesn’t present the fact that John Kerry’s stepson Chris Heinz cut off all business relationships with Hunter Biden in 2014 when he joined the board of Burisma because Chris said they’re corrupt, you know the level of dishonesty to anticipate. When the news media rally’s behind a whistle-blower who wasn’t a witness to a phone call that’s been released, you know there’s zero intellectual honesty present with these people. But when news media is at its worst it still is impossible to avoid the effects. This week has illustrated the point in spades.

Nationally, would you know that American troops have been removed from a conflict President Obama said would only take one month ten years ago? Would you know that the Trump administration orchestrated a cease-fire between forces that have been fighting for longer than the US has existed? Would you be aware that the third-quarter earnings season has lifted stocks to near-record highs providing the average American with record net worth and retirement account balances while also demonstrating that the economy remains strong? Were you even presented with President Trump’s side of the Syria meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer or were you only told of quotes espoused as fact directly from Pelosi and Schumer?

You get the point. But not to be outdone there’s the death of Elijah Cummings. How many times did you come across his death being crossed referenced with a political feud with President Trump? In Elijah’s 23 years in Congress is that what he should be remembered for? Is that what he’d want to be remembered for? Or is this another classic case of news media using Elijah Cummings, even in death, as a pawn to once again defame President Trump for something completely unrelated?

President Trump did have a statement released in the early morning hours yesterday. "My warmest condolences to the family and many friends of Congressman Elijah Cummings. I got to see first hand the strength, passion and wisdom of this highly respected political leader. His work and voice on so many fronts will be very hard, if not impossible, to replace!"

Now let me ask you. How do you think Congressman Cummings would want to be remembered? The way the news media positioned President Trump against him in death or the way President Trump reflected on his life upon learning of his passing? This is an illustration of the lengths news media will go to portray President Trump in a negative light. And for leftists, if news media is willing to sellout Cummings in death along with the allies in Washington, do you really think they care about you?

What’s happening day in and day out with our news media is reprehensible in ways I can’t articulate on-air. We all should demand better. I make no apologies for bringing you needed perspective but most importantly the truth.
