Cats Are Getting Fatter

You're cat is probably too fat.

A new study finds that the average weight of a neutered, domesticated house cat has been climbing steadily for decades.

The team at the University of Guelph looked at 54-million weight measurements of 19-million cats to reach their conclusions.

Researchers found that male cats typically reach higher overall weights than females, and spayed / neutered cats were more likely to pack on extra pounds. The cats were also heaviest when they were between six and 10-years old.
