Good Samaritans Rescue Driver in Overturned Truck

A group of Chicago-area strangers came together to rescue a man who rolled his pickup truck on a busy highway.

Orlando Hernandez was driving hi struck on Interstate 88 near Oak Park when his tire blew and his truck rolled on top of its roof.

Witnesses jumped into action, got out of their cars and worked together to flip the truck on its side.

Still unable to free the driver, an off-duty firefighter arrived on scene and helped to smash out the windshield, cut the seatbelt, and pull the 32-year-old to safety.

Paramedics arrived a few minutes later and took Hernandez to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
