  • A Senate Bill allowing for the re-importation of Canadian drugs into Florida passed the Health Policy Committee on an 8-2 vote.
  • A distracted driving bill advanced in the Senate Judiciary Committee that would make it easier for law enforcement to pull you over for distracted driving and would enable law enforcement to obtain communications records from mobile devices in the event of an accident that causes harm to others – it advanced to the Senate rules committee
  • Legislation cleared a Senate committee that would limit increases on Citizens property insurance rates to 5% annually through 2024. It also cleared the Senate Banking and Insurance Committee and Miami-Dade as well as Monroe would benefit most if passed.
