A Davie woman who threw scolding hot water in her manager's face receives a one year jail sentence.
Jondre Thomas was confronted by her former boss, Claudio Salcedo about stealing money at work February 2018. Thomas and Salcedo were both employees at a truck stop on State Road 84 when the incident was reported to police.
Thomas appeared in court on Wednesday and admitted to the attack that happened after Salcedo fired her. She apologized for her actions that caused the victim second degree facial burns and an injured eye.
Salcedo said she is satisfied with the verdict and already forgave her.
