Florida International University plans a moment of silence to mark the one-year anniversary of the pedestrian bridge collapse that killed six people.
In a tweet, school officials said they plan to live-stream the ceremony honoring the six victims at 1:47 p.m. today for those who can't attend in person. The 174-foot-long bridge crossed Southwest 8th Street near 109th Avenue. It was suppose to be a safer option for students to cross the busy roadway.
The construction company that built the bridge,Magnum Construction Management LLC, has filed for bankruptcy and is being sued for wrongful death.
