Officer Adina Spry, 33, and Marcus A. Wright, 35, face charges of selling heroin-fentanyl within 1,000 feet of Hollywood Park Elementary School.
Spry and Wright were arrested Thursday during an undercover operation in the area of 700 North 71st Ave. After obtaining a search warrant, authorities confiscated 65.6 grams of heroin-fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a credit card skimming device, a firearm, ammunition and cash from inside a home.
"Spry has been relieved of duty pending the results of the investigation," said Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation spokesman Juan Diasgranados.
MDCR officials say they will continue to cooperate with the Hollywood Police Department regarding this incident
