The President is set to reaffirm on Monday his support for Venezuela's National Assembly President Juan Guaido.
Donald Trump is scheduled to give at speech at Florida International University on Monday.
A White House official says Mr. Trump will talk about Venezuela and "the dangers of socialism."
Vice President Mike Pence and local officials met with Venezuelan exiles earlier this month assuring them the Trump administration would stand against Nicolas Maduro and recognize Guaido as interim President.
Mr. Trump is expected to spend part of his Presidents' Day weekend at his Mar a Lago resort.
