The humanitarian crisis in Venezuela is under the microscope as Vice President Mike Pence heads to Doral this afternoon for a roundtable discussion with Governor Ron DeSantis, Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott and Representative Mario Diaz-Balart.

Venezuelan exiles like Ernesto Ackerman will also be on hand at the Iglesia Doral Jesus Worship Center.

Ackerman worries for his elderly mother who can't get her medicine.

That's why he's organizing a rally at City Place in Doral tomorrow night.

It will coincide with a mass demonstration in Venezuela.

He says, "The repression is every day worse and worse, so we need to do more and more pressure here in Miami."

People are taking to the streets calling for Nicolas Maduro to give up power and allow opposition leader Juan Guaido to take over and restore democracy.

With the economy in freefall, Venezuelans are dealing with massive medicine and food shortages and major inflation.
