The eight-year search for a missing Hallandale Beach woman may finally be over.
Acting on a tip from a confidential informant, human remains were found in a shallow grave in a wooded lot off NW 215th Street in Miami Gardens.
Investigators believe the remains are of Lynda Meier. The 40-year-old woman disappeared back in 2010.
She was last seen leaving her apartment and then making a stop at an ATM.
Meier's car was recovered and two men caught using her credit cards were questioned, but no arrests were made.
The remains recovered from the grave site are being examined by forensics experts to confirm their identity.
