Unemployment Lines Are Getting Shorter Across The U.S.

The nation's unemployment lines are a little shorter.  

The Labor Department reports this morning that 214-thousand workers filed first-time claims for unemployment benefits last week.  

That's two-thousand fewer than the previous week's revised total.  

Analysts were forecasting today's number to come in at right around 212-thousand.  The biggest increases in jobless claims were in Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, and Texas.
