One person is dead following an early Monday morning crash in Hollywood.
Authorities say a car smashed into a building, leaving investigators wondering what caused that crash to take place.
Crews arrived at the scene located at North 17th Avenue just north of Young Circle around 3 a.m., finding a red Mazda badly damaged at the scene.
One person died at the scene, but officials have not identified the victim.
Crews removed the vehicle shortly after 5:30 a.m. and the roadways were reopened.
Officials have not said if any other cars were involved or what caused the crash, but are investigating if speed was a possible factor.
