Inside a Treasure Coast courtroom, a re-sentencing hearing continues on Tuesday for Tyler Hadley.
Hadley was 17 when he beat his parents to death with a hammer in 2011.
Prosecutors say he left their bodies locked in a bedroom while he hosted a party with friends.
Hadley was given a double-life sentence, but there have been changes to Florida's juvenile justice laws since the initial sentencing.
Lawyers for the 24-year-old want his sentence reduced to 40-years with a chance for parole after 25.
The re-sentencing hearing could stretch into next week
