Fashion retailer Revolve is facing major backlash after they released a sweatshirt that says “Being fat is not beautiful it’s an excuse.”
Those words were apparently said to Canadian plus-size model Paloma Elsesser.
The company says that the shirts were meant to be “sarcastic,” and they wanted to create shirts based around things “as said to” women.
Of course people had a lot to say. One man named Evan Ross Katz tweeted, “Are you f*cking kidding me?” A woman named Emma Brown tweeted, “Hi there, I'm fat and beautiful! No need for excuses here! I love pizza but I also ran a 10k over the weekend, so . . .
