Police said an employee was leaving after her shift when she was confronted by the suspect, who ordered her inside at gunpoint.
According to authorities, the suspect made his way to the back where the shift manager was counting money.
The suspect ordered the manager to give him the money and he placed it in a bag, even dumping loose change into the bag.
The suspect was also able to take money from the safe at the front of the restaurant, police said.
The suspect fled on foot and possibly got into a 4-door sedan. Police described the suspect as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-9 to 6-foot, and about 180 pounds.
