On Friday, Florida Governor Rick Scott is touring tour areas affected by harmful algae blooms.
According to the governor's press office, Scott will be touring the St. Lucie River and other areas.
He was scheduled to board a boat at the Sunset Marina in Stuart around 8 a.m., according to the press release.
Water released from Lake Okeechobee is flowing into the river and connected waterways, leading to the algae blooms.
Governor Scott toured areas of the Caloosahatchee River and affected areas on the west coast of Florida last month.
