A Florida doctor is suing the Tallahassee hospital where he's worked since 1980, citing racial discrimination.
The Tallahassee Democrat reports that Dr. Joe Webster accuses Tallahassee Memorial of keeping him off an on-call list, forcing him to take on a larger load of indigent patients, and withholding his medical staff privileges.
The African-American gastroenterologist claims TMH paid him less than the white doctors who practice the same specialty.
Webster's complaint was filed in federal court in Tallahassee.
