WAR is a world-renowned American funk band best known for the hit songs “Spill the Wine,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends?,” “Low Rider,” and many more! WAR’s lively mix of funk, rock, Latin, reggae, jazz and R&B and message of brotherhood and harmony made them one of the greatest bands of all time.
Known as the original street band, WAR was brought together by veteran record producer/songwriter Jerry Goldstein ("My Boyfriend's Back," "Hang on Sloopy," "I Want Candy") and rock legend Eric Burdon (ex-lead singer of the top British band The Animals). WAR from the beginning was a concept & musical laboratory to experiment with the blending of many musical styles and influences.
