President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet face to face next month.
The two will meet on July 16 in Helsinki, Finland, the White House said in a statement Thursday.
"The two leaders will discuss relations between the United States and Russia and a range of national security issues," the statement said.
“I’ve said it from day one, getting along with Russia and with China and with everybody is a very good thing,” Trump said on Wednesday. “It’s good for the world. It’s good for us. It’s good for everybody.”
He said the two will discuss Syria, Ukraine and “many other subjects.
