Over the weekend, more than 100 news laws will go into effect throughout the state of Florida.
The new laws include:
- An expansion of voucher-like scholarships to send more public school students to private schools
- A marriage ban for those under 18
- A memorial that will be built in Tallahassee to honor slaves in Florida history
Lawmakers also agreed to a change to year-round daylight-saving time in the Sunshine State, which still needs congressional approval.
There's also a $170 million tax cut package for farmers and property owners affected by Hurricane Irma.
