Cash is off the menu at a growing number of Shake Shack locations. Owner Danny Meyer started the practice at a handful of his New York City restaurants. He says it's a matter of customer service, going cash free means people will be served faster, it's also more sanitary and safer for employees to work in a restaurant that doesn't keep cash in house.
South Florida has Shake Shack locations in Boca Raton, Coral Gables, Miami Beach and the Aventura Mall.
