While legal wrangling continues over the immigration crisis at the Southern Border, South Florida lawmakers are taking action to deal with the issue. South Florida Congressman Carlos Curbelo is weighing in on the zero-tolerance policy resulting in separation of children from their families at the border.
He's calling for an end to the Trump administration's zero-tolerance policy, and introducing the 'Border Security and Immigration Reform Act' which would prevent this or any administration from separating families at the border. The measure also has provisions to keep families together as parents go through legal proceedings, and would fast track cases involving small children.
