One person is dead and another is wounded following a Thursday night shooting in Opa-locka, police said.
Miami-Dade police said officers were called to Northwest 143rd Street and Northwest 23rd Place, near Nathan Young Elementary School, yesterday night.
Officers on the scene found two male shooting victims.
Authorities said one of the men was already dead when officers got there.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the wounded man to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. His current condition is unknown.
No other details were immediately available.
