Several officers from multiple agencies are currently canvasing the area near NW 79th street and NW 27th avenue in Northwest Miami Dade after officers were fired at during an investigation.
Several sections of the roadway are closed and may remain closed for a period of time.
Police are using both helicopters and K9 units to search for the suspect or suspects.
If you are in the area or need to use those roadways, you're asked to seek out alternative routes while the search continues.
