Killer Grandma Set For Pre-Trial Detention Hearing In Lee County Thursday

Authorities say a Minnesota woman accused of murdering her husband also attempted to conceal the death of a Florida woman she is charged with killing.

Lois Riess has been extradited to Florida and remains behind bars at the Lee County Jail in Fort Myers after a judge ordered her held without bond.

Prosecutors  accuse the defendant of killing Florida resident Pamela Hutchinson early last month, sealing her body behind a condo's bathroom door and contacting the front desk to extend the victim's stay. Riess allegedly killed Hutchinson with the intent to steal her identity.

After a nationwide manhunt, Riess was arrested in Texas, then taken to Lee County on Saturday, April 28th.

Riess is scheduled for a pre-trial detention hearing on Thursday.
